El Huipil Mexican in Acton

Been dining at the Maynard location for years and am delighted that they opened a second location in Acton. The Acton menu is a little different from Maynard's, but the food at both locations is always good, especially the churros.

Good food, good people (both employees and customers). They know how to cook fajitas. They don't dry the meet. The meat is juicy but cooked. The guacamole is always fresh.

Great ambiance, and service. But horrible food. This probably is like a fast food Mexican joint with little effort made to make food appetizing. I've had better Mexican food in and around. Not going here again!

An oasis ... colourful and cosy.Home style friendly and festive.Food is totally adequate, drinks are excellent. Feels pretty authentic.

Baja fish tacos were delicious. Fish was fresh and tasty and sauce flavorful. Cant go wrong with the House margarita .

Amazing food. A little pricey but more than worth it. Good sized portions.

Brought my kids here for dinner last week. Very cute and nicely decorated Mexican restaurant with live music. I enjoyed my Mango Margarita, and my son especially liked chicken wings. Very reasonable price, and dishes are larger-sized. Will be back more for sure.

Great food and great service

I have mixed feelings and have dined here 4 times now. I was excited to find a new family owned Mexican restaurant close to me since others have closed recently. Food is decent and tasty, and reasonably priced. I don't find the atmosphere to be overly inviting. You walk in to a 5/6 seat bar area (no formal bartender) and if you choose to sit there you feel "in the way" since all food for the dining area goes around or in front of you. The serving staff tries to be friendly but I don't think they are overly inviting. The kitchen staff is friendlier - yelling thank you as you leave through the viewing port to the cooking area. Not sure how soon I will be back but if so only because of limited Mexican options near me. Suggestions - make the bar experience more inviting, maybe expand it. Servers need to engage more with diners and not be so "business like". Smile!!!

Good, honest, Mexican food. I had tacos for lunch today and they were excellent. Not the Americanized stuff you normally find.

They serve large portions and for affordable pricing. nice staff. Kudos.

We went for Cinco de Mayo. The place was filled and had a nice buzz. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our meals were good. We would definitely go back for casual Mexican. Next time I want someone else driving so I can try the margaritas!

A wonderful authentic Mexican restaurant. Fantastic service, great food, friendly wait staff and plenty of outside seating.

The atmosphere is nice. The salsa was warm amd the guacamole not quite salty enough. Good presentation of food. Nice wait staff. Will try again.

I would rate them 3 stars, but the price was way higher than expected. I ordered the fajitas, I saw on one photo it was 18$, which for lunch is a lot. The price (not found anywhere online) was 24, and after tax, almost 26$.It was a lot of food, but it was just ok. Half the steak was good, but a little bland, the other half was stringy and chewy, which makes it hard to bite a fajita.The chicken was similarly seasoned, ok but not amazing, but a little dry, I wonder if it is pre-made and warmed up.Veggies were the best part. The rice and beans were standard fare.All of this would have been fine for 14$, but for 26?

Great Food,Service and Adult beverages!

Price and service was great. Only complaint was the angle of the sun through the windows was hard to cover with the curtains, but that isn't anything they could really do anything about. I guess don't go around sunset if this is a thing that could bother you.

Family loves coming here. I'm a fan of the Chiles Rellanos.

The veggies in everything taste very fresh. Festive decor, too. Everyone I've taken here liked it.

Good food and drinks with fast and friendly service. They are very family friendly and can get busy on weekends but are accommodating and keep things moving quickly. The food isn't heavily spiced so it can be better for those without adventurous palates.

excellent Mexican, amazing guacamole, great margaritas and curated tequila selection. they have AWESOME beef tongue tacos, to boot! atmosphere is relaxed and colorful. Wait staff is attentive and kind!

Best Mexican food I've had this far North. Lots of Rich, Authentic Mexican Flavors Presented well in a clean colourful atmosphere with Frendly WelcominServers.The menue is setup so simply that making choices is very easy weather you're famillar with ethnic food or not. Basically choose what style of food you want, how you want it preparred, what filling, what sauce level of heat. It's the way Americans should choose everything...

It would have been 5 stars, but I received tilapia tacos instead of shrimp. But great food, staff, and environment. I'll be back.

My wife and I found this on our way home from visiting family. As native Californians, we have Hugh expectations for authentic Mexican food. This place did not disappoint. The food is always amazing, the service attentive and friendly. Now, we make sure to hit this restaurant every time we leave visiting, a few times a month. Cannot recommend enough!

We enjoy to go out. Last night we visited this superb restaurant which friends told us about. We enjoyed a lovely evening there with superb meal and a well-trained stuff and an impressive chief cook. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we will surely go again soon. Highly recommended.

Great food but we were seated in the corner and basically forgotten about. Took 10 minutes for the waiter to come over to take our order. It was no time for the food to reach our table. Took 20 minutes for us to get the check.

It was Good but not great. i could have given 3.5. Three starts is low 3 is over rating. 3.5 is the one i would have given. the sauce was red but no taste. carmitas was dry. not the best Mexican food i have tasted
